The Index Results show up in the “File Name…” list box that occupies the lower part of the Keepers | Indexes notebook page.

Actions on Index Results in the “File Name…” list box

Right-click the mouse to get the Keepers Local Menu, which provides six ways to open a selected file. Select a file in the list box by left-clicking on it.

Double-click on a file name to open it in the Text Viewer, the Binary Viewer, the Default Viewer, or a Windows associated file, according to the options you set in Options - Results|Viewers.

The Keepers File Menu enables you to copy, move, or delete files in the “File Name…” list box.

The Keepers Edit Menu lets you copy selected lines in the “File Name…” list box to the Windows clipboard, or send all the lines to the Text Viewer.

The navigator buttons shown here appear just above the “File Name…” list box.

From left to right, the buttons perform these actions:

Open the previous file, the one before the current highlighted file in the “File Name…” list box. The file will be opened in either the Text Viewer or the Binary Viewer.

Go to the previous match of the indexed word in the current highlighted file.

Go to the next match of the indexed word in the current highlighted file.

Open the next file, the one after the current highlighted file in the “File Name…” list box.

When down, the last button disables the automatic opening of files by the other buttons beside it.

NOTE that these navigator buttons do not work unless you have an index open and a word highlighted in either the “Words” or “Found” list box, so that file names are appearing in the “File Name…” list box.
