Options - Results|Viewers

Double Click in Results Opens Double-clicking your mouse on a line of text in Results will open the file associated with the line. Click on one of the following to choose how double-clicking in Results will open a file:

• Text- or Binary-File Viewer Double-clicking opens the file with the Text Viewer or the Binary Viewer, according to the type of the file, binary or text, determined when it was read.
  
  
• Default Viewer Double-clicking opens the file in Results with the Default Viewer that you designate. See below.
  
  
• Windows’ Associated File Double-clicking calls on Windows to open the file in Results with its associated file. Files are associated by the Windows operating system. For example, files named something.DOC may be associated with Windows’ WordPad. Double-clicking in Results, then, would open .DOC files with WordPad.
  
  
• Windows’ Quick View Double-clicking opens the file with Windows’ Quick View.

Default Viewer Enter the name of a program that Finders Keepers™ can use to open files for viewing, e.g., “c:\windows\notepad.exe”. Enter a viewer’s name by typing it in, or by selecting it from the drop-down list you get by clicking the down arrow, or by using the file browser you get by clicking on the button beside the Default Viewer entry.
