Auto-indent Toggle automatic indentation on or off. If Auto-indent is on, when you press the Enter key in the Text Viewer, the cursor is placed on a new line beneath, and the new line has the indentation of its predecessor. For Auto-indent to have effect, the Text Viewer must be set to insert text, not overwite it.
Create Backup File When this is checkmarked, and you Save a file or Save As, if a file exists already with the name you are using for the save, the Text Viewer creates a backup file out of the existing file by appending “.BAK” to its name.
Font Set the font for the Text Viewer.
Tabs Select one of the following three kinds of tab actions to control how the Text Viewer responds when you press the Tab key.
Tab Size The Text Viewer expands each Tab character into spaces according to the number you enter into Tab Size. Expansion of tabs occurs when you press the Tab key, or when a file containing tab characters is opened, or on a change of Tab Size.
Word Wrap Toggle Word Wrap on or off. If this is off, lines longer than the width of the Text Viewer’s window extend out of sight to the right. If Word Wrap is on, such lines wrap at a column you designate or at the windows’ edge.
Wrap to Window Wrap long lines at the edge of the Text Viewer’s window.
Wrap at Column Wrap long lines at a column you designate.
Stay on Top Keep the Text Viewer on top of other windows.
