Insert Table

Insert a new table at the position of the cursor. Enter the number of rows and columns that you want in the dialog that appears.

When the table is created, the cells have equal width. Drag the vertical cell borders with the mouse to change the widths.

NOTE: Tables are not available in plain-text mode. See Editing Modes. If View | Page Mode is off, the table does not appear naturally; instead, the rows are separated by solid lines labeled “Row Break,” and the columns are placed in vertical succession, separated by dashed lines. Hence, you should use Page Mode when working with tables.
