Cell Border

Modify the borders around designated cells in the current table. A dialog appears so that you may designate which cells to modify, as follows:

All Cells

Apply the border settings to all cells in the table.

Selected Cells

Apply the settings to all selected, highlighted cells in the table.

Columns

If cells are highlighted, apply the settings to the columns that contain the highlighted cells; otherwise, apply the settings to the current column.

Rows

If cells are highlighted, apply the settings to the rows that contain the highlighted cells; otherwise, apply the settings to the current row.

In the dialog, there are edit boxes for entering the desired widths of the top, bottom, left, and right borders. In addition, there is an edit box for entering the cell text margin, that is, the margin between the left cell border and the text within the cell. The cell text margin must be at least as large as the largest of the border widths. All entries are in twips.

The user can specify the width of each border (top, bottom, left and right). The border width should be less than the cell text margin. The cell text margin is the distance from the left edge of the cell to the beginning of the text in the cell. The border widths and the margin are specified in twips.

Tables are not available in plain-text mode. See Editing Modes.
