Footnote

Insert a footnote for the current page at the location of the editor’s cursor. A dialog appears, in which you enter a footnote marker, for example, “1,” and the footnote text. Check mark the box labeled “Superscript Footnote Marker” to superscript the marker without having to format it.

The text that you enter for the footnote will appear at the bottom of the page that contains the marker. In addition, the text is placed invisibly beside the marker.
