Expand or compress the spacing between characters. A dialog appears so that you may choose expansion or compression and the amount of spacing in twips. Twenty twips equal one font point.
If text is highlighted, the spacing is applied to that text; otherwise, the spacing is applied to new text that you type at the cursor location.
